I’ve hit “wives submit to your husbands” pretty hard, but now it’s time for “the rest of the story,” “husbands, love your wives.” Love is the center of everything, after all, and the wife’s submission is only rational and only makes sense if her husband submits to her in love, by love, for love, and with love – the love of Christ Himself.

In what practical way can you deliberately communicate respect to your husband or love to your wife today? Put a plan in place with Jesus, and deliberately practice that habit this week.
V | Verbalize (Pray about your thoughts and emotions.)
Tell Him everything in your heart right now. Take the risk, and ask Him to help you with ways to actively respect your husband or love your wife, no matter what your relationship looks like right now.
Remembering that He loves you and that you are in His presence, talk to God about the particulars of your O – Observe step. You may want to write your reflections in your LOVE the Word® journal. Or, get a free journal page and guide in the right-hand margin.
